What we process
- The link you paste — only to fetch the media you asked for.
- Your IP address — briefly, in memory, for rate-limiting and abuse prevention.
- Temporary files — the file you requested, deleted automatically within about 15 minutes.
What stays on your device
Your “Recent downloads” list and preferred quality are saved in your own browser's local storage. You can clear them any time with the Clear button or your browser settings. We never receive this list.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-up.
- No selling of personal data.
- No keeping copies of downloaded media.
Our own analytics (no cookies)
To improve SaveVidr we count visits with our own first-party analytics. It uses a random ID stored in your browser (not a cookie, not linked to your name or IP address) and records only aggregated numbers: which pages are viewed, roughly where visits come from (search, social, direct), device type, browser, language, time zone, page speed and whether downloads succeed. We never store your IP address or the links you paste in these statistics. Clearing your browser's site data resets the ID. Visitors in Europe get no stored ID at all — only a temporary ID that ends when the tab is closed. The aggregated statistics are deleted after 13 months.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We may also use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages are useful, and display ads from third-party partners (such as Google). These partners may use cookies to show relevant ads; where required by law we will ask for your consent first. You can learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com and opt out of personalised ads in your Google ad settings.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you may have rights to access or delete data. Because we don't keep personal profiles, there is usually nothing to retrieve — but email privacy@savevidr.com and we'll help.
Children
SaveVidr is not directed at children under 13.
